  Autoetnography As The Creation of Knowledge


Autoethnography is valuable because it helps us understand our own experiences and how they influence the way we teach. It allows us to reflect on our beliefs and values, thus improving our pedagogical practices and our connection with students. In addition, it helps us to be more sensitive to cultural diversity in the classroom and can serve as a research tool to explore educational issues from a personal and contextualized perspective.

  • Identify the important moments that significantly impacted my path through the education to be here now and why do I do this. 
  • It helps to improve interactions with people to be present in the relationships with others. 
  • It is an approach that involves of a classroom with a new teaching strategy that helps overcome personal barriers that helps blocking the use of high-impact educational practices.
It is a process of self-observation and self-reflection, in order to understand the awareness of our circumtances (why we react the way we do) and every decision you make in class to give everybody a voice is a contribution to social transformation.
